After returning to his family domaine in 2008, Jean-Marc Sélèque, a third generation grower, alongside his wife Oriane, are making a strong case for the incredible terroirs of the Marne Valley. Today, he owns about 9 hectares in 45 parcels spread out over 7 villages mainly on the southern slopes of Épernay.

The cornerstone of the “Sélèque” style revolves around the search for a wine’s natural balance and a pure expression of terroir. Rigorous work in the vineyard, healthy and perfectly ripe fruit, no vinification trickery, the smallest possible amount of sulfur, extended lees aging sur latte and extremely limited use of dosage - these are just some of the elements that result in wines that are vibrant and alive.

Solessence NV

This cuvée represents the identity of the house. The goal is for a pure and crystalline expression in all circumstances. 50% Chardonnay, 40% Meunier, 10% Pinot Noir Villages: Pierry, Moussy, Epernay, Mardeuil, Dizy, Boursault, Vertus Soil: Mostly flinty clay on chalky subsoil Vinification: 70% Stainless steel vats, 30% oak barrels. No fining or filtration. Dosage: 2g/L - Extra Brut

Solessence Nature NV

Prolonged aging of the Solessence cuvée. 50% Chardonnay, 40% Meunier, 10% Pinot Noir Villages: Pierry, Moussy, Epernay, Mardeuil, Dizy, Boursault, Vertus Soil: Mostly flinty clay on chalky subsoil Vinification: 70% Stainless steel vats, 30% oak barrels. No fining or filtration. No dosage

Solessence Rosé NV

The goal is a harmony of flavors from the fruity brightness of the Meunier, the raciness of the Pinot Noir, the freshness of cuvée Solessence. A blend of Solessence Blanc + 10% of maceration of Meunier + 5% of red wine of Pinot Noir. 45% Chardonnay, 40% Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir Villages: Pierry, Moussy, Epernay, Mardeuil, Dizy, Boursault and Vertus for the Solessence Blanc. Soils: Mostly flinty clay on chalky subsoil Vinification: 60% stainless steel vats, 40% oak barrels. No fining or filtration Dosage: 2 g/L - Extra Brut

5 Terroirs for a full expression of racy Chardonnay - 100% Chardonnay 5 terroirs include Vertus 1er Cru - La Justice planted in 1950, Dizy 1er Cru - Moque-Bouteille planted in 1985, Epernay - Les Frileux planted in 1959, Mardeuil - Les Basses Ronces planted in 1982, Pierry 1er Cru - Les Tartières and Les Porgeons planted in 1990 and 1985. Soils: Clayey loam, flinty clay, chalky subsoil Vinification: 100% oak barrels. No fining or filtration. 20% Solera started in 2012. Dosage: 2 g/L - Extra Brut

100% Pinot Meunier on a historic terroir from selection massale plantings from 1951 that gives a wine that is both fruity and precise. Single parcel: Pierry 1er Cru “Les Gouttes d’Or planted in 1951 Vinification: 100% oak barrels. Without fining and filtering. Dosage: 1.5g/l - Extra Brut

Soliste Pinot Noir Les Gayères NV

100% Pinot Noir with deep roots in flinty clay, these vines give small black pinot grapes with crisp skin benefiting from the western winds and the setting sun. Single parcel, Pierry 1er Cru “Les Gayères” planted in 1975 Vinification: 100 % oak barrels. No fining or filtration. Aging under natural cork for 4 years (75CL) Dosage: 2 g/l - Extra Brut

Soliste Chardonnay Les Tartières/Les Porgeons NV

100% Chardonnay. A blend of 2 adjoining plots located in the heart Pierry, at the junction between the deep Sparnacian clays and the Campanian chalk. The goal is to express the complexity, between flesh and tension possible between the chardonnays of Coteaux Sud d'Epernay. 100 % oak barrels. No fining or filtration. Aging under natural cork for 4 years (75CL) Dosage: 2,5 g/l - Extra Brut

Partition 2016

A selection of 7 old vine parcels in 7 oak barrels in the manner of 7 musical notes, with the aim of creating a harmonious blend, a partition. 72% Chardonnay, 14% Pinot Meunier, 14% Pinot Noir 100% in oak barrels. No fining or filtration. Aging under natural cork for 5 years (75CL) - 8 years (1,5L) Dosage: 2 g/L - Extra Brut
