From his seven organically farmed hectares of Fiano at 650 meters, Guido produces only 500 to 800 cases of Fiano per vintage. The soils are primarily rocky with a limy-clay subsoil.
Fiano di Avellino
All of the Fiano on Guido's property comes from one 7 hectare vineyard in Summonte, the highest point in Avellino. (Guido and Ciro Picariello are neighbors.) The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel with some fine lees contact. He bottles after twelve months and lets it rest in bottle for another year before it is released.
